Located in San Francisco Bay is the Island of Alcatraz. This national park has frightened and intrigued many of their visitors over the years, and is known world wide as the toughest penitentiary system to get out of. Many prisoners have tried to escape, but have failed. Famous prisoners include, Frank Morris, Roy Gardner, George Kelly, and many more. The worst of the worst were brought here and were isolated from society. To this day visitors have said that Alcatraz is haunted by these criminals and want revenge for the way they were treated there. We visited Alcatraz National Park to show you how to make the best out of your trip there.

In order to visit the National Park you must obtain a Alcatraz Cruise pass. Passes can range from different times of the day, but the night visit on Alcatraz Island is more expensive. Once you arrive on the island you have free range all day to look around as long as you make it back onto the last cruise ship. Otherwise, you are "stuck there for the night" mwahaha. The island itself is a remarkable place to see. The old architecture and beautiful plants make for a wonderful day trip on its own.

The Alcatraz tour is a self audio tour, which allows as much time as you need to enjoy your experience. Throughout the day guides will demonstrate how the jail cells open and close.

Alcatraz Island is scary enough during the day, but at night it gets scarier. You will end up spending two hours of the night on the island with only 99 other people. This tour offers experiences that are not included in the day tour, and provide you a prisoners experience of Alcatraz at night. Not to mention, the cruise ride over to the island gives you a great sunset view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
