I Bet You Can't Hug This Tree
Sequoia National Park is home to the largest trees in North America. Have you ever heard of General Sherman? He is one of the largest trees in this park and in the world. This so called "Land of the Giants" is home to various wildlife and plants. I traveled to this beautiful National Park during June, when it was still a little cold outside.
Pictures can never do this park justice. The atmosphere there is entirely different from any other place. It feels as if you are the ant below the blade of grass and at anytime you could get stepped on. This giant new world you enter once you arrive in the giant grove is remarkable. It will definitely put your life into perspective.
You can arrive into the park in two different ways. I personally went on the longer and more scenic route that took me to several places with unique bridges and running rivers that contained gold in them. Yes! Actual Gold was found!
The back road itself continues to go up in altitude, so you will get to experience some amazing views. The road itself is a dirt road, so be sure that your vehicle can make it through the complete route. I drove in a Ford Escape and made it through the dirt road just fine.
I would tell you more about this amazing place, but I want your mind to wander and experience the fresh air and amazing atmosphere this park has to offer.
